Description:

The MAI module is an electronic device to be mounted on a DIN rail, whose main function is to convert the pulses coming from a flowmeter, usually mechanical (Turbine, Oval Wheels, etc.), from an encoder or from any other source into:

Modified Pulses: The pulses are modified by:

o Decreasing the frequency (pulses/litre), and/or

o Modifying the pulse type

The MAIC module in addition to all of the above includes:

Analog Output: The equipment can produce 2 types of analog outputs:

o 4 – 20 mA

o 0 – 10 Vdc (Optional)

MAI Applications

The main application of the MAI is to modify the pulses so that they can be read by any PLC or other electronics. The most frequent cases are:

PLCs that do not accept a certain type of pulse.

PLCs that do not accept a very high frequency of pulses.

PLCs that require a fixed pulse frequency per litre.

MAIC Applications

In addition to all of the above, they also serve to modify the pulses so that they can be read by PLCs that only accept analog inputs.
